The ParaQuest Cattle & Sheep Liver Fluke Coproantigen ELISA Test is a faecal sample tool to detect the excretory/secretory (ES) antigens of the Fasciola hepatica parasite. This postal service test is fully supported by our qualified in-house Animal Medicines Advisor who will discuss with you an action plan to tackle any positive results indicating active infection with late immature or adult liver flukes.
It can diagnose infection three to four weeks before fluke eggs can be detected in a standard faecal egg count (FEC) and is a pooled test up to ten animals for a fixed cost.
The test is carried out under the UKAS accreditation certificates 2239 and 7624 and is supported by veterinary surgeons, laboratory scientists and technical staff. The kit has full instructions, transit bags, all delivery and return postage included in the price.
*Please Note. Test Results will be expected within 7 working days and a qualified Animal Medicines Advisor will contact you to discuss the results. Should a treatment be advised, we are licenced by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) to supply you with a suitable licensed product.
